John T. Powers, Esq.
How John Helped Redefine CLE
At the heart of Powers Law is a commitment to
client service. John ensures that every client receives prompt communication,
clear explanations of legal procedures, and full transparency regarding legal
fees. His approach is centered on making informed, strategic decisions in
partnership with his clients.
John earned his undergraduate degree in Political Science from Adelphi
University, followed by a Juris Doctor from Touro College Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center. While still awaiting bar results, he was personally
selected to work for respected attorney Joseph Caramango, Esq.,
an opportunity that laid the foundation for his career. After Mr. Caramango’s
relocation five years later, John took over and expanded the practice—growing
it into the firm it is today, with a sharpened emphasis on DWI defense and a
broad range of criminal law services.
He is an active member of the legal community,
serving as President of the Suffolk County Criminal Bar Association and participating in several key professional
organizations. John is also a Continuing
Legal Education (CLE) Program Coordinator and Speaker, regularly leading seminars on criminal law updates and
trial advocacy skills. Born in Brooklyn and raised in New Jersey, Daniel always wanted to come back to
the city life of New York. He loves the diversity of people, architecture, and culture of each
borough’s distinct neighborhoods. While outside the office, Daniel enjoys spending time
with his family, especially outdoor adventures with his wife and two sons.
