Karen H. Charrington, Esq.
More about Karen
Ms. Charrington began her legal
career in the Bronx County District Attorney's Office, advancing from trial
attorney to Major Case Assistant, handling the office's most serious and
complex criminal prosecutions. The experience forged a litigator of exceptional
precision, one who understands not only how to construct a case, but how
opposing counsel thinks.
Following her prosecutorial career, Ms. Charrington
led the civil litigation department at a prominent Westchester County boutique
firm, where she managed a demanding portfolio of matrimonial, commercial, and
complex civil matters, many involving active litigation and trial preparation.
It was during this period that she developed the command of high-asset family
law that distinguishes her practice today.
In 2005, she founded The Charrington Firm with one goal in mind: to
deliver the strategic sophistication of a large institutional practice through
the discretion and personal attention that each client deserves.
Drawing on more than two
decades of litigation experience, Ms. Charrington advises clients in matters of
substantial complexity, including high-asset divorce, multi-million dollar
trust disputes, and the valuation and disposition of fine art and alternative
assets transacted through premier auction houses, including Sotheby's. Her
practice further encompasses spousal support litigation, state and federal
criminal defense, and complex civil controversies.
